Are you wondering why you are receiving a monthly edition of the Courier at home if you never subscribed?
This was a Diocesan decision in order to improve communication within the Diocese. Each parish is required to pay for this service. Our cost is $19,300 a year. Four times a year we have a collection to help defray this cost.We would like to collect $2,500 so that the parish does not have to make up the huge deficit.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.
1 Corinthians 4:1-2
The Finance Committee is an advisory committee to the Pastor of the Parish. They consult with him on the finances of the parish as well as oversee the budget preparation, fundraising for the parish, the Catholic Ministries Appeal and seek new sources of revenue for the parish.
We need an immediate increase in our Sunday Collections to meet our financial responsibilities. Please compare what you are currently giving to the “at a glance” chart below and see if you can make an incremental increase.
Let's Give God a Raise!
The heart of this message centers on sacrificial giving, give until it becomes a sacrifice, doing more than what is required. Give God a raise and see what He will do in your life:
- Build your relationship with Him
- Teach you commitment
- Teach you faith
- Provide financial blessings
- Bless farmer’s crops
- Bless your talents
- Create a giving spirit within you
- Revive your heart…
If you want to short circuit God’s provisions for your life and ministry, just convince yourself you “cannot afford” to faithfully give to the Lord’s work. This deadly deception will do more to destroy your faith and God’s provisions than any other single thing you can do.
