On Ash Wednesday, our parish staff presents a Reflection Booklet to parishioners and friends as they begin their Lenten journey.

This booklet is written by the various staff personnel at Holy Cross, trying to keep in mind our parish community, the season of Lent and the parish theme, offering a “thought for the day” based on the daily Mass reading, followed by a short prayer.

All are Welcome.

Welcome to the beginning of Lent, yes, "WELCOME‟ – to this season full of opportunity to deepen our spirituality, our connection to God, our relationship with God. There is much to experience. It matters that we grow in our relationship with God and with each other. Do we really understand that we are always loved, welcomed and forgiven by the God who gives us the Easter miracle? Much is at stake during Lent. He cares how we live our lives. It matters that we help others to see the "light of Christ‟, then we in turn will have benefit for ourselves. Take care to live the six weeks differently than the other 46 weeks of the year.

May these daily reflections and your Lenten sacrifices re-enforce for you your commitment to Christ and to your faith. May you experience God‟s blessings during this wonderful season.
