We are looking for new volunteers for our prayer line ministry. It's simple! When a prayer request comes into the parish office, you will receive a call (or, if you prefer, we can contact you by e-mail) to pray for that request. Then you simply call the next person on the prayer list and pass the request on to them. You'll rarely get more than three calls a week. If you would like to help, or if you have any questions, please call the parish office at 663-2244.
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is any one happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore...pray for each other so that you may be healed.
James 5:13-16
There is much strength in prayer. When you feel you need a few extra voices for a special intention, give the parish office a call. Parishioners are ready to help out.
This is also a very special opportunity to give of yourself. Add your name (or offer your e-mail) to the phone list of those who give prayer support to the needs of others. Please call the parish office for more details about becoming a link to God for others.
Volunteer Office JobsThe parish office can always use a helping hand with odd jobs around the office. Such jobs might include folding and stuffing for mailings or bulletin inserts, counting the Sunday offerings, computer data entry, and putting funeral booklets together. If you have an hour to spare, call the parish office. Any time you can give is greatly appreciated.
