Girl Scouts of the USA is the world's largest organization dedicated to helping girls everywhere build character and gain skills for success in the real world.

In an accepting and nurturing environment, and in partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop strong values, leadership skills, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth that will serve them all their lives.

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and to develop personal fitness.

Cub scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8 ,9, 10 years of age). The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding. Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Webelos Scouts participate in more advanced activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts.
