Ceremonies for Grades K-8
NEXT Sunday, April 30
10:00 AM Mass followed by Procession to the Grotto and Reception in Parish Center
We celebrate the Completion of Religious Ed Classes 2016-2017 by attending the 10:00 AM Mass, followed immediately with a reception and gifts. Eighth graders are now encouraged to join our Senior High Teen Group for fun, faith, food and fellowship as they meet on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 PM in the Convent.
Thank you to all our wonderful Catechists (teachers, teacher-aides and office helpers) who share their faith and knowledge with the children of our parish. Because of our Catechists, we have a successful and faith-filled program!
Note: Sunday preschool classes continue until their closing ceremonies on Sunday, May 7.

God bless you and your family,
Along with our present parish activities, our Jr/Sr High Youth experience events planned by and for our teens, throughout our EG/C area and our diocese. These wonderful opportunities to gather all our area youth together include retreats, field trips, service opportunities and more.
Religious Education students are collecting aluminum tabs to help Hemodialysis Patients at Rochester General Hospital.
Parishioners can help!
Please bring aluminum tabs from soup cans, soda cans or any prepared food cans that have pull tabs. Collection boxes are located at the North and Parish Center entrances to church. Every little bit helps!
We, the community of Holy Cross Parish, recognizing our Roman Catholic Tradition and living out our baptismal promises, pledge ourselves to contribute to the building of God's Kingdom here on earth.
We consider it a privilege to work with the parents and children in nourishing the Catholic faith of our parish families.
All parish children in grades 1-8, who are not attending a Catholic School, should be enrolled in a Religious Education Class. We provide instruction on the Catholic Faith in an age-appropriate format in a classroom environment. Our Religious Education teachers help reinforce an enduring belief and love of Jesus and knowledge of our Catholic Heritage and Church Doctrine.
You are your child’s first and best teacher of our Catholic faith. Our goal is to support you as your family continues on their faith journey. If you have questions or concerns, please call us. We would love to discuss these options with you and welcome the opportunity to work with you to determine what is best for your family.
We strive to share the light of faith with all parishioners. It is important for all of us to realize that in Christ, we find security, peace, happiness, and a model for daily living. We encourage life-long faith development in these areas, according to the teachings of the church: Christian responsibility, moral values, church doctrine, scriptures, and prayer.
Religious Ed Home Study
The home study program is for parents who make the decision to provide intentional religious education for their children at home. Textbooks are provided, and opportunities for support and community are offered during the year. If you are interested in this option, please call the Faith Formation Office at 621-8133 for a registration form and more information.
