The Sacrament of First Reconciliation

The healing sacrament of Reconciliation is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. Our Young Parishioners will have the opportunity to prepare for this sacrament starting in November.

If your child is in 2nd grade or older and wants to experience Jesus in a more personal way, please attend ONE of our Reconciliation meetings:

Tuesday, November 19 at 6:30 PM
OR Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 PM

Meetings are for both Parent & Child, in the School Cafeteria.
Sacramental registration forms are available in the parish Center Foyer.

We consider it a privilege to work with the parents and children in nourishing the Catholic faith of our parish families.

All parish children in grades 1-8, who are not attending a Catholic School, should be enrolled in a Religious Education Class. We provide instruction on the Catholic Faith in an age-appropriate format in a classroom environment. Our Religious Education teachers help reinforce an enduring belief and love of Jesus and knowledge of our Catholic Heritage and Church Doctrine.

Tweens & Teens

The Tweens and Teen Ministries provide our youth with social, educational, and spiritual enrichment. There are opportunities to develop lasting friendships while at the same time participating in parish life and assisting others.

Since 1952, Cub Scout Pack 222 has provided young boys of Holy Cross an opportunity to build positive character, leadership skills, and personal fitness. Through their passion for the outdoors, Pack 222 provides multiple outings year around to provide the boys with a positive and supportive Scouting experience. Pack 222 meets on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Beacon Place. Any questions can be directed to Thomas Richards, the Pack Cub Master, at [javascript protected email address] or 585- 732-7276.

We are Holy Cross Girl Scout Troop 61046. We are a multilevel troop with Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet twice per month on Tuesday evenings at Beacon Place. From crafts to STEM activities and field trips to holiday parties and service projects, the girls are busy earning badges and having fun! Any questions can be sent to Kelly Thompson, Troop Leader, at [javascript protected email address]

The objective of all of these groups is to enable our young people to develop and grow a personal relationship with Jesus.
