Letter From Building & Grounds

We are off to a strong start with our Lift High the Cross Fundraising Campaign with over $50,000 committed! This has enabled us to start work on replacing the Air Conditioning system in church.

We want to especially thank last weekend’s speakers for their enthusiasm and dedication to Holy Cross church and school. Rob Jesionowski, Ariana DiPonzio, Katie Barbone, Lorrisa LaRocca and their families did a great job of sharing their vision and we received much positive feedback. Thank you as well to the members of our Buildings and Grounds Committee (Jack Drexel, Phil Marsh, Charlie Kelly, Jim Worden and Dean Swan) for prioritizing our needed improvements and being available to answer questions.

You should be receiving a letter from Holy Cross within the next week that will include a Campaign Card for you to fill out and drop in the collection basket or drop in the mail. Please act quickly as we cannot start the other needed projects until we have committed dollars. You can also give online at the following secure link:

We would like to receive all completed campaign cards by Thursday, August 15 and all payments in hand by Sunday, September 15 so we can pay our contractors in a timely manner.

Please remember that One hundred percent (100%) of all donations will be used to support the needed projects:

  • Church Air Conditioning Replacement
  • Parking Lot Replacement
  • Security Cameras for Church and School
  • Repairs to the Church Boiler.
If we reach our goal of $200,000 (we are 25% of the way there!) a generous parishioner will write us a check for $25,000!

We cannot thank you enough for your support of this campaign in true Holy Cross fashion. Scott Nasca & Kevin Foy, Co-chairs

Volunteer & Ministry Opportunities

Volunteers Needed to Clean the Sanctuary & Sacristy, and also to lead the Committee

We have had 5 volunteers need to resign and so we are hoping you may be able to help! We work in small teams on Saturday mornings after the 8:00 AM Mass. Tasks include tidying the sanctuary and sacristy, cleaning and refilling the holy water fonts, and other small duties. A Leader of this Committee would be asked to create the schedule for the coming year (August 2019 through August 2020) and to make sure each participant receives a schedule and contact information for other members of the committee.

If interested, please call the Parish Office at 663-2244.
